Based on the information in your intake form, previous prescriptions and lifestyle assessment, we assess what you need to reduce the stressors in your visual system.
During the call, you are guided to understand what the numbers on your prescription mean which empowers you to make educated decisions.
The consult covers a brief lifestyle assessment and all the ways in which you use your eyes, The letter we write, then guides the optometrist in the optimal reduction based in the ways in which you use your eyes on a daily basis. We also consider legal driving limits, if you have bifocals, and if we can comfortably transition you into single lens prescriptions.
Based on the information in the discovery call, a Reduction & Referral Letter for Step Down Glasses is written and emailed to you and your optometrist. It contains written instructions for the exam & types of Transition Lens prescriptions you need.
Sometimes for myopes (nearsighted people with higher prescriptions i.e. greater than -4.0, they are give two prescriptions; one for driving for example and the other for computer use so that near point stress is minimized & there is faster improvement.
